Sigrid, English and Verbal instructor, LogicPrep

Sigrid attended Yale University, where she studied Political Science and Visual Art. Since graduation, she has worked in journalism, politics, and community development. Sigrid is also a yoga teacher, sculptor, and writer. She loves living in the vibrant East Village, but takes frequent trips back to her native Western Massachusetts to make art and drive on dirt roads. She also volunteers her time tutoring ACT/SAT lessons and providing essay editing support to underserved students through The Jesse Kolber Foundation scholar program.

In her spare time, Sigrid enjoys spending time with friends and family, learning Irish Gaelic, playing guitar, and watching obscure Sci-Fi TV shows. She is passionate about helping students build confidence and realize their full potential.

What LogicPrep Tutors Say About Sigrid…

Sigrid makes knowledge seem cool and accessible and effortless all at once. She finds what her students are interested in and really nurtures their fires.

I think she makes each student feel slightly smarter than they are, which makes them into the person she sees them as.

Sigrid is one of the most genuinely kind people you could meet. She is a brilliant conversationalist and can make anyone laugh.

It is her instinct to be supportive.

Sigrid can be friends with anybody. She is multi-talented and balances a rich life of friends, jobs, interests, and artistic pursuits.

Favorite Book The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz; Slouching towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion; Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I also love getting lost in fantasy series... the worlds of V. E. Schwab, J.R.R. Tolkein, and Pierce Brown are some of my favorites, and I'm always looking for new recommendations!
