After graduating from Yale, Adam served as a Marine Corps infantry officer in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, and Japan. It was in the Marines that he discovered his passion for creative writing, leading him to complete a Master of Fine Arts degree at Rutgers-Camden. Adam has published work in The Iowa Review, The Missouri Review, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and elsewhere. 

These days, Adam lives and writes in Philadelphia. An experienced educator, he loves helping students find their voices on the page. In his free time, Adam enjoys reading, playing guitar, and working out.
