PANELISTS:

JAMIE

College Advisor & Former GW Admissions Officer

Jamie has worked in international higher education for over ten years both in university recruitment and as a college counselor. She previously spent four years in the admissions office at her alma mater, George Washington University, where she was responsible for recruiting students from around the globe. Following her time at GW, she moved to the other side of the desk and joined the College Counseling team at TASIS England, where she helped students navigate the admissions processes at UK, US, Canadian and European universities. She is now the Head of Content for Student Events at Times Higher Education (THE), helping universities and student services providers provide relevant and timely content for THE's international student audience.

Jamie is based in London, England and in her free time she loves walking the many London parks and spending weekends in the English countryside.

ALEX

College Advisor & Former UChicago Admissions Officer

During her undergraduate years at the University of Chicago, Alex explored classes in Statistics, Psychology, and Sociology on the path to earning her Bachelor's in Comparative Human Development. While at UChicago, she spent all four years working for the College Admissions Office as a tour guide and as Chair of the Multicultural Students Advisory Committee.

After graduating, Alex went on to work at UChicago as an Admissions Counselor focusing on undergraduate applications from the Midwest and independent schools. Her time at UChicago was dedicated to helping build a diverse student body and making the application process easier for families and students as a part of the Equity and Access Team. She also went on to earn her Master's Degree at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education.

Alex loves helping students tell their stories and supporting them in finding a college home that they will love for four years and beyond. Students who work with Alex can expect an organized, compassionate, and intentional process and coach.
