Director of Public Relations

LogicPrep, the premier educational consulting firm, is seeking a Director of Public Relations to develop PR plans and secure media placements for the company and the company’s leadership team. We’re looking for a dedicated public relations professional who can continue to bring national exposure to our advisors and the LogicPrep brand.

Our offerings include standardized test preparation (SAT/ACT, SAT Subject Tests, TOEFL, AP exams, and SSAT/ISEE), school support, organization and study habit development, and college advising. By supporting the development of the whole person, we teach and coach our students to be the best versions of themselves.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pitching national and local New York and Miami media outlets

  • Securing national and local New York and Miami media placements

  • Crafting talking points for interviews

  • Creating original and innovative pitches to secure national online, print, and broadcast placements

  • Accompanying our team to local NYC interviews, tapings, etc. if appropriate

  • Manage PR agencies and influencer wranglers in local markets

  • Manage and support press for instructors and attend photo shoots/interviews

  • Ensure all aspects of the brand are publicized in the correct environment on a constant basis

  • Develop and foster key relationships with media, influencers, publicists and VIPs on behalf of the brand

  • Create strategies and build buzz around brand extensions, partnerships and collaborations

  • Maintain press lists and update collateral

  • Understanding education trends and dynamics in the market

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or other related field

  • 3-5 years of experience pitching and securing national media placements

  • A deep network of national media and industry relationships

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the education industry

  • Experience with luxury brand representation

  • Excellent pitcher and capable of securing robust media placements

  • A solid understanding of the media landscape and what types of stories will resonate in order to generate coverage and build positive brand awareness

  • Experience managing and preparing talent for interviews and speaking engagements

  • Proven success in building brand positioning for high-profile companies

  • Exceptional writing ability, both business and creative
