This year, our students earned 42 acceptances to Ivy League+ schools and 201 acceptances to the Top 50 universities in the US. Our liberal arts-focused students also earned 28 acceptances to the nation’s top liberal arts colleges while our global-aspiring students earned 85 acceptances to the Top 50 global universities. When it comes to data based on real students and real outcomes, test-optional policies can actually undermine some diversity initiatives. For example, according to Stuart Schmill, MIT’s Dean of Admissions, “Once we brought the test requirement back, we admitted the most diverse class that we ever had in our history.”
