Did you hear? Both the men's and women's basketball teams from Syracuse University are headed to the Final Four! It's pretty obvious those that bleed orange are thrilled! So what better university to spotlight this week than Syracuse University?
Located in Upstate New York, the school’s campus sits on University Hill above the city of Syracuse. If you're looking for winter spots, Syracuse has you covered. With an average of 100 inches of snow per winter season, 'Cuse students love getting outdoors and enjoying winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding, sledding, etc. when the snow is falling. But of course, winter isn't the only time for sports-- most of Syracuse sport teams competes in the NCAA Division I Atlantic Coast Conference all year long. Orange Nation!
Sports aside, media (CitrusTV as well as multiple student-run magazines and other print publications), student government, Greek life, SU Ambulance & religious organizations play a large role in students' lives outside of their classes.
'Cuse also has some rather notable alumni, including: Vice President Joe Biden, actor Jerry Stiller, former football player Donovan McNabb and former Miss America Vanessa Williams.
