Do you love the outdoors? What about great weather all year round? The University of Miami (commonly referred to as UM) might just be the place for you. Located in Coral Gables, just south of Miami, UM is about 30 minutes from the beach! Can you imagine studying for finals with your toes in the sand? 

Aside from outdoor activities, the university is also known for top academics (ranked #51 among national universities), a wide variety of undergraduate majors and programs (over 180!), and many student organizations and activities. More than 2,400 students are involved in Greek life, the UM Hurricanes compete in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference, and the university boasts about having over 250 clubs and organizations to join. Some annual campus events include the Canes Film Festival, which showcases student-produced movies, and Sportsfest, three days of competition between residence hall teams. Doesn't the University of Miami sound like an awesome place to spend your undergrad years?
