Practice Test Guidelines
Welcome to LogicPrep! As part of your test prep program, you’ll take full-length practice exams to track your progress and build confidence for test day. Please review the following guidelines carefully before taking your first exam.
1. About Practice Exams
LogicPrep offers two types of practice tests:
In-Person Proctored Exams – Held on weekends in select locations. These simulate real testing conditions. Students register in advance for in-person exams. Please refer to your Dashboard account for upcoming in-person proctored dates.
Virtual Practice Exams – Flexible, self-timed, and not proctored. You can take these at any time that fits your schedule through your LogicPrep Dashboard.
2. Scheduling & Access: Virtual Exams
You do not need to register in advance for virtual practice exams.
Your tutor will assign the test and provide a unique link for you to begin.
You may start the test at any time, but once you begin, it must be completed in one sitting unless otherwise approved by your tutor.
3. Timing & Accommodations
Each exam is timed automatically according to standard SAT/ACT time limits.
If you receive extended time or other accommodations, the system will adjust your timing accordingly.
4. Paper-Based Testing Option (ACT Only) and Blue Book SAT Exams
If you prefer or require an ACT paper-based exam, you can print the test at home. After completing the test, you’ll upload your answers and send them to contact@logicprep.com.
If you take a Blue Book SAT through the College Board, be sure to send your login credentials to contact@logicprep.com so your answers and scores can be recorded in your Dashboard account.
Your test will be scored, and results will be shared with you, your tutor, and your academic advisor.
5. Test Results
Results are available immediately after completing your exam.
A detailed score report—including section breakdowns —will be emailed to you and your tutor(s)
Your scores will also appear in your LogicPrep Dashboard account
6. Technical Support
If you experience technical issues during your test:
US Students: During business hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm ET): Please call (914) 273-3280 for immediate assistance.
Outside business hours:
Pause your test and use the feedback tab on the right side of the screen to report a bug.
Email tpsupport@logicprep.com with your name, test type, and description of the problem.
A member of our team will respond as soon as business hours resume.
If you lose internet connection during your test:
Our interface has an auto-save feature. If the break in connection is momentary, you should be able to continue where you left off. However, if your disconnection lasts a long time, your session may expire. If this happens, use your code to re-access the test and you will be able to resume from exactly where you left off.
If you have an interruption while taking the test at home:
In an emergency, you can use the “pause” button to temporarily pause the timer. Please note, this is not a feature on the real test. When you are ready, you can return to the test at the point you left, by clicking the button.
7. Best Practices for a Smooth Testing Experience
Find a quiet space with no distractions.
Use a computer or tablet (not a phone) for best performance.
Avoid refreshing or closing your browser mid-test.
Have pencils, scratch paper, and a calculator ready if permitted for your section.
We recommend taking the exam during the morning hours to simulate the real exam.
