Mary brings over a decade of experience in selective college admissions and academic advising to her role as a College Advisor. At Harvard College’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions, she spent years reviewing applications and interviewing hundreds of candidates, while also serving as a first-year academic advisor—giving her a well-rounded perspective on both the admissions process and the student experience.
Mary holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has served in senior roles as the Assistant Dean of Academic Advising at UC San Diego and as the Director of Graduate Admissions at UC San Diego.
She began her career as a campus tour guide at the University of Vermont, where she first discovered her passion for helping students find their best-fit college, and continues to bring both expertise and a warm, student-centered approach to her work. Mary is dedicated to helping students and families feel confident and empowered throughout the college application process, and specializes in guiding students to craft authentic, compelling applications that reflect their distinct stories.
Mary spends her free time staying active while soaking up the California sunshine, getting creative at her ceramics studio, and spending time with her sweet and sassy French bulldog, Oso.
