Originally from the Garden State and proud to be from the Jersey Shore, Kristine attended Loyola University where she earned a B.A. in Elementary Education. After graduating, she taught 1st and 2nd grade in Bangkok, Thailand and was able to travel all throughout Asia, which gave her the opportunity to discover a profound love for Asian food and culture. Returning to the States, she taught 1st grade for a number of years in Asbury Park and earned a spot on the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) Priority Schools Initiative. Kristine led a team of Master Teachers identifying the specific causes of school "failure" through data collection and analysis to achieve the goal of school reform in communities stricken by poverty.
