College Consultant (Part-time)


LogicPrep is a vibrant, New York-based college prep community with branches in several locations across Latin America. Our team of college advisors, writing coaches, and academic mentors is comprised of former admissions professionals, creative artists, experienced entrepreneurs, accomplished playwrights, and novelists. Despite our high standards and far-reaching goals, we reject the formulaic, skill-and-drill environment that surrounds the stereotypical college admissions testing and application process. Instead, we offer a comfortable study space and foster a dynamic learning process with the goal of producing happy, confident, well-rounded, and fulfilled lifelong learners.


  • Lead the college advising process for 10-20 students across LP sites, including New York, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Miami

  • Provide counsel, manage expectations, and serve as point of contact for students and families

  • Identify optimal schools based on students' academic and standardized test performance, extracurriculars, and educational goals; advise students on course selection, summer plans, and enrichment activities

  • Help students develop a “personal pitch” and ensure these pitches are executed by our team of essay coaches

  • Manage the recruitment of international scholarship students to guide through the college application process

  • Efficiently learn and utilize LP’s proprietary technologies, tools, and dashboards

  • Participate in informational panels and workshops on the admissions process

  • Participate in staff meetings to refine and iterate on processes affecting the business

  • In-person (Armonk, NY) and/or online availability during LP’s hours of instruction, including evenings and weekends


Minimum Qualifications

  • Academic background (BA/MA/PhD) from a top US university

  • Previous admissions experience in either a high school or 4-year college setting

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and high EQ

  • Understanding of admissions landscape across North America

  • Desire to educate, motivate, and grow with LP as we expand our national/international reach

  • Commitment to at least one full academic year

Preferred  Qualifications

  • Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish

  • Interest in education technology and improving processes to maximize working/learning efficiency

  • Ability to travel to LogicPrep’s sites
